WAIT is a project of the Washington AIDS International Foundation, a tax-exempt nonprofit educational foundation, of 501 (C) (3) status. All donations are tax-deductible. Donations made by check or online transfer will receive a letter of acknowledgement for tax records

WAIT is totally funded by the team's fundraising, and by private donations.

"What does this money go to?"

As all WAIT members are volunteers, WAIT uses 100% of donations for actual outreach, including:

• Educational presentations in schools
• HIV prevention performances at your event
• Training teens in peer-to-peer education techniques
• Service learning program for college-age youth
• International training of new teams overseas
• Outreach through website and electronic tools
• Educational video production
• Music production

Tax-Deduction Donation Letter Policy: Our standard policy for mailing tax deduction letters is to assume that you wish to receive a mail notification of deductable amount and 'Thank You' of your donation. . Feel free to contact us any stage of the donation process (or even after the transaction is completed) to handle your needs, such as: 1) if you have not recieved the letter within 3 weeks of the donation being processed, 2) if you do not wish to receive a letter, or 3) if you have specific requests for the letter(e.g. if you want the letter addressed to the overall company donor or specific representative)
